On August 5, 2008, the Board of Trustees of the Cedar Hill Independent School District levied or set the tax rate on $100 valuation for the District for the tax year 2008-2009 at a total tax rate of $1.63, to be assessed and collected by the duly specified assessor and collector as follows:

  • $1.17 for the purpose of maintenance and operations, and
  • $.46 for the purpose of payment of principal and interest on debts.

Such taxes are to be assessed and collected by the tax officials designated by the District.

THIS TAX RATE WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.

THIS TAX RATE WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $130.00.

ORDER OF SPECIAL ELECTION FOR CEDAR HILL INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

ORDEN PARA ELECCIÓN ESPECIAL DEL DISTRITO ESCOLAR INDEPENDIENTE DE CEDAR HILL 

A special election is hereby ordered to be held on October 7, 2008 pursuant to Texas Tax Code §26.08 to ratify the tax rate set for the school year 2008-2009 (Rollback Election), for the purpose of voting in a special election to approve or disapprove the adopted tax rate for 2008-2009.

(Por la presente se ordena una elección especial que se llevará a cabo el día 7 de octubre 2008, de acuerdo con el Código de Impuestos de Texas § 26.08 para ratificar la tasa impositiva fijada para el año escolar 2008-2009 (Elección de Restauración), con el propósito de votar en una elección especial para aprobar o desaprobar la tasa impositiva adoptada para el 2008-2009.)
